Weather station data acquired in situ from the surface of the Greenland ice sheet at more than 20 stations, mainly situated in the ablation zone (melting part) of the ice sheet, ranging in elevation from a few hundred to approx. 1800 metres above sea level.

A detailed readme-file is provided with the dataset, describing the data and metadata. More in-depth description is provided in: 1. Van As, D. (2011) Warming, glacier melt and surface energy budget from weather station observations in the Melville Bay region of northwest Greenland. Journal of Glaciology, 57 (202), 208-220, doi:10.3189/002214311796405898. 2. Citterio, M., D. van As, A.P. Ahlstrøm, M.L. Andersen, S.B. Andersen, J.E. Box, C. Charalampidis, W.T. Colgan, R.S.
